Compress Image

Reduce image file size with quality control, format conversion and visual comparison

About Compress Image

Compress your images in seconds, right in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to use Compress Image

  1. 1Drag and drop one or more images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, etc.) into the upload area.
  2. 2Choose the compression mode: by quality (slider from 1 to 100) or by target size (100 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, etc.).
  3. 3Pick a quick preset (Web, Balanced, High quality, Lossless) or manually adjust the slider.
  4. 4Optional: change the output format (WebP, JPEG, PNG) to save even more space.
  5. 5Click the result to show the visual Before/After comparison slider.
  6. 6Download the compressed image, or in batch mode, download all files as a ZIP.

Tips

  • WebP format saves 25–35% more than JPEG at equivalent quality.
  • Expert mode (Starter+) unlocks pro codecs: MozJPEG, AVIF, JPEG XL for maximum compression.
  • Use target size mode when you have a strict file size constraint (e.g. 200 KB for an online form).
  • In batch mode (Starter+), compress up to 20 images at once with a ZIP download.

Free vs paid limits

Free: max 480 px resolution, watermark on exports, 1 file at a time. Starter+: no resolution limit, no watermark, batch up to 20 files and pro codecs.
