About GIF Caption
Add text captions and subtitles to animated GIFs — the text appears on every frame, processed in your browser.
How to use GIF Caption
- 1Upload an animated GIF via drag-and-drop or the file picker.
- 2Type your caption text in the input field.
- 3Choose the text position (top, center, or bottom of the GIF).
- 4Customize font size, font family, text color, and background style.
- 5Preview the result on the first frame, then click "Apply to all frames".
- 6Download the captioned GIF.
Tips
- A semi-transparent black background behind text improves readability on busy GIFs.
- Keep captions short — GIFs are usually small, so long text becomes unreadable.
- Starter+ unlocks custom fonts, per-frame captions, and drop shadow effects.
