How to use Text Statistics

  2. 2View instant statistics: words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, and reading/speaking time.
  3. 3Check the Flesch Readability Score to gauge how easy your text is to read.
  4. 4Review the top 10 most frequent words and vocabulary diversity metrics.
  5. 5Analyze sentence length distribution to identify overly long or short sentences.
  6. 6Click 'Copy stats' to export all metrics as formatted text.

Tips

  • Aim for a Flesch score of 60–70 for general audiences — higher means easier to read.
  • High vocabulary diversity (many unique words) indicates rich, varied writing.
  • If most sentences are 'Very long (>35 words)', consider breaking them up for better readability.
  • Reading time assumes 200 wpm and speaking time 130 wpm — industry standards.
