Compress PDF

Reduce PDF file size

About Compress PDF

Reduce the size of your PDF files directly in the browser, without sending your documents to a server.

How to use Compress PDF

  1. 1Upload one or more PDFs via drag and drop.
  2. 2Choose a compression level: Light (max quality, modest savings), Medium (good balance) or Aggressive (big savings, slight quality loss).
  3. 3Optional: enable "Remove annotations" to strip comments and reduce size further.
  4. 4Compression starts automatically. Before/after stats are shown for each file.
  5. 5Download each compressed PDF, or in batch mode, download the ZIP.

Tips

  • Medium level is the best trade-off for most PDFs containing images.
  • For text-only PDFs, compression gains are limited — significant savings come mainly from embedded images.
  • Remove annotations if the PDF comes from a collaborative review with many comments.
